To some this may seem like an obvious point, but it is sooo very important to do. When you’re sitting staring off into the street on the bus to avoid the awkward exchange of unexpected eye contact with strangers that always seems to go on for far too long, write down you’re train of thoughts, well the important parts anyway. If you find yourself fixated on frogs or you happen to think something utterly clever write it down. On your phone, a napkin, a piece of paper, your arm, your friends face, it really doesn’t matter so long as you can keep it with until you have a chance to write it down somewhere else.

It doesn’t matter if later you find it complete gibberish cause it doesn’t matter. Writing, no matter how fansical, has basis in reality. If you ever find yourself marvel at how an author describes the most small or peculiar thing it is because they recall it. They are so vivid in describing their worlds because they have felt the whisps or cold air, stared an object for far too long, or even remember a certain emotions. They remembered it because of how human it made them feel in that moment, or how completely in-human. It left a strange taste in their mind that they recall so others to can question its existence. Write to remember. Write to bring reality to your literature. Develop that craving to create and never let go of it.
