Perspective can be a really awesome tools for authors to make their story interesting and stand out. Everyone like the underdog, but reading about the villain, the best friend, an animal, a plant, an inanimate object, can change the feeling of the piece. Writing from an unlikely point of view can skew the stories in ways no one would expect, expose nooks and crannies in the story that can’t be found by other characters. It throws the reader of guard and can entice them. It literally makes them see the tale from a whole other set of eyes, and see the story being warped, and pushed along by someone every other person would look past on the street.
It changes the tone of the story, how people and events are described, and where it can take place. It is a very creative why to step out of your comfort zone as a writer and challenge yourself to write from perspectives you’d never expect, because it will give you the skills to see the same scene in a number of ways and chose which would make the most impact on your readers.
